Clinical Nurse - Cath Lab New

One of the top healthcare systems in the tristate area is currently seeking Cardiac Cath Lab RNs for their location in Morristown, NJ. You will be tasked with providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, assisting cardiologists, monitoring vital signs, and educating patients and families about their condition and care.

Schedules:

Option 1: M-F, 9a-5p. No on call required.

Option 2: 4 days/week 7a-5p. 12 on call days/month.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Providing assessment, monitoring and intervention for cardiac procedures
• Administering oral and intravenous medication to patients
• Operating intra-aortic balloons, physiological recorders and printers for monitoring electrocardiogram data
• Managing patients under sedation to watch for adverse reactions
• Educating patients and their families regarding surgical site care, lifestyle, medications and other postoperative information
• Managing paperwork, including patient consent forms, charting, lab results and procedure documentation
• Collaborating with other medical staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in nursing required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• NJ RN license
• BLS/ACLS required
• 3-5 years cath lab or interventional radiology experience required
